No previous experience is necessary, but a working knowledge of communicating with compassionate helping spirits is valuable. Knowledge of shamanic journeying is also helpful, but not required.

Learn to work with earth grids and terrestrial power points and places to bring healing to weather, elements and earth frequencies and patterns

Learn to work with Master spirit guides who connect the levels of dimensions and universes to expand and enhance human and earthly light frequencies for enlightenment

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to students who complete the program.

The use of  any psychedelic drugs is not permitted on the days of any Ocean of Light Healing classes, which includes the evenings between class days. This is because psychedelics alter the energy system in a way that interferes with perception and receiving the empowerments and transmissions of the Ocean of Light work and they can interfered with the group energies of the class as well. 

 Psychiatric drugs are exempted, as is medical marijuana, where there is a prescription, but in either case the teacher needs to be informed, and those taking medical marijuana should be aware that the Ocean of Light Healing transmissions they receive will be weakened by the impacted state of their energy system. (If the teacher knows the situation he/she may be able to compensate somewhat for it.) 

Medical drugs, of course, are also exempt, but the teacher should be informed of any deep medical conditions. In addition, drunkenness is not permitted, and moderate alcohol use before or after class is also discouraged. Alcohol dulls the senses and alters your energy field, so will inhibit your ability to have all your senses open and be able to perceive and receive energy clearly. Anyone in violation of this policy will need to drop out of the class (but may possibly re-take it later as a repeater), and there will be no refunding of tuition.

Students must act in a way that respects the integrity and supports the well-being of other members of the class and community. They must not engage in behavior that is dishonest, judgemental, abusive or undermines the integrity of anyone in the community, whether via verbal communication, public postings or private messages. Publicly, they also must not belittle, put-down, or use language that casts doubt on colleagues’ professional competence or integrity, or injures their reputation. Ethical issues with colleagues should be addressed to Leontine Hartzell.

Ocean of Light™Practitioners:

1. Practitioners must practice ethically, and should cultivate a sense of nurturance and compassion in relation to clients. Statements to clients should have these qualities and be truthful, and fees charged must be ethical and fair; clients must not be exploited for financial gain.
2. Practitioners shall not attend a client while under the influence of alcohol or mind-altering drugs, or while sick with a communicable disease.
3. Practitioners shall not engage in illegal, immoral or improper conduct with a client, nor encourage such behavior. A practitioner shall neither instigate a sexual advance nor tolerate one from a client.
4. Practitioners may not treat a child if a parent or legal guardian is not present.
5. Practitioners have a responsibility to maintain the client's health to the highest possible degree.
6. Practitioners shall not make medical diagnoses, advise about a particular course of medical treatment, nor give “guarantees” about the outcome of sessions.
7. Clients who clearly need medical help must be advised to seek that, whether Ocean of Light Healing sessions are continued or not. If you know that a client is mentally or emotionally ‘unstable’, or a danger to themself or others, sessions should only be continued if they are working with a professional therapist. (Be aware that such clients may pose a liability risk, even if they are working with a licensed therapist.)
8. Client confidentiality must be maintained (within the limits of the law) and client records should be kept in a locked box.
9. If another therapy is used in conjunction with Ocean of Light Healing, the client must be informed and agree to its use beforehand. The use of other therapies should also be noted in the client’s records for that session.
10. Practitioners can offer feedback but not try to control clients' private lives or make decisions for them.
11. Advertising must be ethical, and exaggerated claims are prohibited.
12. Practitioners must be respectful in relation to the ethical, religious and political beliefs of their clients and colleagues.
13. Practitioners must accept responsibility for informing themselves of local laws and regulations pertaining to energy healing, including but not limited to: any laws restricting the use of energy healing, any requirements or licenses needed for practicing healing in a home or office, any laws or regulations regarding insurance, etc. Records of client sessions should be kept whether required legally or not.
14. Practitioners must follow the legalities with respect to the Ocean of Light Healing trademarks and are not allowed to teach the methods or reproduce any materials unless they have received Ocean of Light Healing™ Teacher Certification.

All Ocean of Light Healing students shall respect any information that fellow students share and shall not share, speak or write or record about any personal information a fellow student has shared outside of class, ever.This includes experiences fellow students have had in journeys, meditations, doing practice healings in class, or their reflections on said experiences.

Ocean of Light Healing ™Academy teaches Ocean of Light Healing ™ trainings and classes.This page informs you of our polices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from students at these trainings. No data or tracking is performed by us on our website.

We use your Personal Information only for contacting you about classes, for sending you the recordings you get as part of your training and about events related to Ocean of Light Healing, for enabling us to have a license to use the trademarked name ‘ Ocean of Light Healing’, for creating a Responsibility Agreement with you, and to contact you regarding any issue with our Code of Ethics Policy.

By taking Ocean of Light Healing™ trainings, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. 

You also agree to not use any audio or video recording of any classes. In addition, no photos may be taken during trainings without permission of the instructor and fellow students.

We don’t sell or share your personal data with any 3rd parties.

Late Payments: if class tuition is not fully paid by 4 weeks before the start of each weekend class, it incurs a $35 late fee.

Refund Policy: 

• Refunds requested prior to a month before the class: full refund less admin fee of $60.
• Refund requested prior to 1 week before class: ½ the deposit refunded
• Refund requested less than 1 week before class: the deposit is non-refundable.
• Any “balance payments” in excess of required ‘deposits’ are fully refundable.
• Once class has begun, all tuition payments ( deposits and balances) are non-refundable.
• Late arrivals or early departures from class are not due any refunds for parts of class missed. 

Class Cancellation and Date Change Policy:

Class cancellation is unlikely, since Leontine is responsible for contractual payments to the retreat center!

For a cancelled class: full refunds will be given within a month of the date change, with no fees.

For a date-change, a full refund with no fees, may be requested within 2 weeks of the announcement of the date change. After that, the usual cancellation policy applies.

Travel Costs: The student is responsible for all travel costs and for any other costs incurred if class is changed, rescheduled or cancelled. If some emergency causes Leontine to leave in the middle of class and a student teacher is not able to resume teaching, all tuition payments will be fully refunded, but students are still responsible for their travel and other costs incurred.

Violation of Class Drug Use Policy: Student will need to drop out of class, with no refund of tuition or deposit.
